Samsung has officially introduced its newest midrange chipset, despite the fact that it did not develop its own top mobile CPU this year. The new Exynos 1380, which replaces the Exynos 1280 from last year, will debut in the forthcoming Galaxy A54. Let’s examine the new Exynos 1380 chip in more detail.

Exynos 1380 Overview:
Build
The Exynos 1380 is constructed using Samsung’s 5nm technology, just like its predecessor. Four Cortex-A78 (2.4 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 (2.0 GHz) cores make up its octa-core CPU. For a smarter experience, such as cutting-edge language recognition for voice help, Samsung claims the AI Engine on this chip has “an improved NPU” that can handle up to 4. 9TOPS (trillion operations per second). Arm’s Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, clocked at 950 MHz, handles graphics. Moreover, a 144Hz FHD+ monitor is supported.
A 200MP Camera
Moving ahead, this chipset is compatible with cameras with a 200MP resolution. Single camera mode allows for shutter lag-free 64MP or 200MP photo capture. Even three 16MP sensors can be used to capture images at once. You can record films in up to 4K at 30 frames per second using the Exynos 1380. This chip can encode and decode 10-bit HEVC (H.265) and AVC (H.264) video.
Others
Exynos 1380 supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G networks and offers peak download and upload rates of 3.79 Gbps and 1.28 Gbps, respectively, in terms of connection (sub-6GHz). While satellite connectivity choices include GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, and Galileo, it also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Moreover, it supports UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 Memory.
