WhatsApp latest feature will allow users to transfer data from one Android phone to another. However, it is still in the testing phase and yet announced officially.
While WhatsApp has allowed people to easily switch between Android phones and iPhones by keeping their chat history for a while, the ability to do this between Android phones was sadly lacking. This could change soon. The messaging platform is reportedly testing a feature that would allow history to be migrated between Android phones
WABetaInfo announces that the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android includes a new feature that allows you to migrate messages without going through the Google Drive process.

“The option will be visible in WhatsApp Settings> Chats in the future,” says WABetaInfo. “This allows users to easily migrate their chat history from their phone to another Android device, eliminating the need to back up their chat history to Google Drive before switching to a new device.
To make up for the lack of a dedicated feature, Android users have been backing up their chat history to Google Drive for years, then manually restoring it whenever they switch phones. If this new report is about money, WhatsApp appears to be working to permanently eliminate the need for a lengthy workaround.
Unfortunately, it is not yet clear when this new migration feature will be available for those using the publicly available version of WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp is generally pretty good at migrating features out of beta and seems unlikely to be a lengthy process unless major bugs are identified.
