Poco X5 Pro 5G Officially launched with Snapdragon 778G chipset.

Poco started the year with an entry-level phone called the C50. Now the company wants to refresh its mid-range X series with Poco X5 5G and Poco X5 Pro 5G. Performance

As we can experience, the Poco X5 Pro have a huge leap in performance compared to its predecessor. Last year, the Poco X4 Pro replaced its predecessor’s Snapdragon 860 with the mid-range Snapdragon 695. Little wants to rectify the situation by bringing the Snapdragon 778G into the X5 Pro.

In terms of storage, it is available in two configurations: 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. Both models have a microSD card slot for storage expansion. As for the software, it comes with the latest MIUI skin, MIUI 14, based on Android 12.

Design and Display

Moving ahead, the Poco X5 Pro offers a beautiful 10-bit OLED display. The 6.67-inch display have the same 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate as its predecessor. But, the Poco brings HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision to the X5 Pro. There is also a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front against accidental drops and scratches.

In terms of design, the Poco X5 Pro does not necessarily look different from its predecessor. This means it retains a large rear camera module design and comes with flat bezels. Likewise, it is available in three color options: blue, black, and of course yellow.

Cameras

Likewise, the Poco X5 Pro have a triple rear camera setup. Samsung’s 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2 sensor is used as the main camera. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Thanks to the updated Snapdragon 778G chip in the X5 Pro, you can capture 4K images from the rear camera. For selfies, the front cutout houses a 16-megapixel camera.

Others

Finally, the phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. It have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock option to unlock the phone.
