After a series of leaks and rumours, Oppo has officially confirmed the arrival of the Oppo Reno 8T series. The new lineup will be an extension of the Reno 8 series and will house two phones that Oppo even calls “The Portrait Expert”. Oppo Reno 8T Overall Leaks
Performance
Oppo’s upcoming mid-range will include at least two smartphones: the Reno 8T 4G and the 8T 5G. It goes without saying that there will be several SoCs among them. According to previous rumours, the 4G variant will be powered by the Helio G99. On the other hand, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 handles all the processing in the 5G model.
Design
Apart from differences in network connectivity, the two phones have slight differences in other aspects such as design. The Oppo Reno 8T 5G will feature a premium curved display to differentiate it from its 4G siblings. The selfie cutout is also in the top-left corner, while it’s centered on the 4G model. On the back, the Reno 8T series has two circular camera modules, but on the 5G model they are connected by a pill-shaped structure.
Other Specifications
The Reno 8T 5G isn’t particularly elegant either. Oppo is set to the Reno 8T 4G in the Sunset Orange variant with “Fiberglass” leatherette finish on the back. The official trailer for the series shows this version with a circular light around the camera. It looks strikingly similar to the Orbit Light in the F21 Pro 4G, which leads us to believe that the Reno 8T 4G will also have a microscopic sensor.

In the future, the Reno 8T series will come with a 4800mAh battery, but charging speeds will vary by model. The 4G model charges at 33W, while the 5G model charges faster at 67W. Also, the Reno 8T 4G and 8T 5G ship with ColorOS 13 based on Android 13.
Oppo Reno 8T Series launch Event
Oppo is currently testing the Reno 8T series in Indonesia ahead of February 8th. According to a recent leak, the phone’s price starts at PHP 18,999 for the 4G model.
These two phones can ship to other regions. There are also rumors that Oppo will rename the Reno 8T series to the F23 series for the South Asian market. It’s not unmatched either, as the specs and features of the Reno 8T phones are very similar to last year’s F21 series.
