Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 Overview:
Design and Display
The Galaxy Book Pro is a laptop-tablet hybrid with a huge 16-inch touchscreen. Samsung refers to it as a ‘Dynamic AMOLED 2X’ screen, which essentially means a high refresh rate (120Hz) OLED panel. It boasts a high resolution, thin side and top bezels, and allows stylus input with the S pen included in the retail package. The device is incredibly sleek, measuring less than 13mm thick and weighing only 1.69 kilogram.
The Performance Killer
As previously stated, the new Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra Series 2 chipset is one of the device’s main attractions. This Galaxy Book5 Pro can play videos for up to 25 hours thanks to the Core Ultra 7 processor. This is due to both the chipset and the battery’s unusually big capacity of 76WH.
Although no other configurations are available, the Ultra 7 256V features a total of 8 cores (4 performance and 4 efficiency), 8 threads, with a clock speed of 4.8 GHz. It is based on TSMC’s N6 node and includes both the GPU and the NPU on the same tile.
Graphics and AI
The new Xe2-based Arc 140V graphics improve the Galaxy Book5 Pro’s graphics performance as well. Furthermore, the whole system has approximately 120 TOPS, 48 of which come from the Neural Processing Unit (NPU). That exceeds the 40 TOPS threshold for a Windows Co Pilot+ PC, therefore the Book5 Pro is a ‘AI PC’ in every sense, with features such as Paint Cocreator, Live Captions, Automatic Super Resolution, Studio Effects, and Recall.
That’s not all; Samsung claims 300+ AI-accelerated features across 100+ creative, productivity, gaming, and entertainment apps. That contains many of Samsung’s standout features, such as Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Live Transcript, and Transcript, which were previously seen in the S24 series of smartphones.
Connectivity and Others
The Galaxy Book5 Pro includes 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM soldered to the board, as well as up to 1TB of Gen 4 NVME SSD storage. It supports WiFi 7 as well as Bluetooth 5.4 wireless communication. There are two Thunderbolt 4 connections, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD reader, and an audio jack.
