Vivo’s latest flagship phones consist of three devices: the standard Vivo X90 and several Pro models. They debuted in China last November, and Vivo has finally launched the X90 internationally. It’s the successor to last year’s Vivo X80 and the most affordable option in the new X90 range. In this article, we will discuss the main features, functions, expected price and availability of the Vivo X90 in India.

Vivo X90 Overview:
Design and Display
The design of the Vivo X90 is very similar to that of its Pro siblings. It features the same 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 10-bit color depth, meaning it can display over a billion colors. You also get HDR certification and a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits.
Vivo X90 is available in three colors: China Red, Ice Blue and Black. The latter two have a glass back and the China Red has a leather-like finish. In addition, the phone is IP64 protected against light splashes of water and dust particles.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood of the Vivo X90 is the same Dimensity 9200 as its Pro siblings, MediaTek’s latest flagship chip based on a 4nm process. The main features of the chip are the new Cortex-X3 main core and the ARM Immortalis GPU with hardware ray tracing. The phone has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. However, note that Vivo used UFS 3.1 storage space in the 128 GB variant.
Camera
The protruding circular camera hump on the back of the Vivo X90 houses a triple camera arrangement. The leader is the 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 sensor. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra wide-angle module and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera packed into a notch.
To simplify image processing, Vivo has integrated ISP V2 into the X90. This is Vivo’s third generation image processing chip with dedicated SRAM memory for superior performance. Overall, the X80 will help you take better portraits and low-light shots.
Other Specs
The phone is powered by a 4810mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. A compatible charger is included, which charges the phone from 0 to 50% in just 8 minutes. The Vivo X90 ships with OriginOS 3 based on Android 13, but the global version of the phone uses Funtouch OS 13 instead.
