Xiaomi 13 Pro to enter in the global market later this month

In December 2022, Xiaomi released the Xiaomi 13 series in China. The new global launch date for the flagship series is February 26, 2023. Numerous improvements are included in the most recent number series, including Leica-branded cameras and Qualcomm’s newest flagship chipset. Design and Display

IP68 dust and water resistance is another significant improvement to the Xiaomi 13 Pro. This has been present in Samsung flagships for some time, but Xiaomi’s high-end products have never featured it. It’s a good thing that this isn’t still the case. Except for the Light Blue variants, which include a new leather-like nano-tech material, the phone’s back is composed entirely of ceramic.

The 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is the same as what its predecessor had to offer. It can refresh at any time between 1Hz and 120Hz. It says 240Hz for the sample rate of touches. It features a peak brightness of 1900 nits and fully covers the DCI-P3 color gamut. Xiaomi has chosen the outdated Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.

Performance

Despite not being the first phone to do so, the Xiaomi 13 Pro comes equipped with Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chip features a novel 1+4+3 core layout, led by Cortex-X3-based Kryo Prime cores, and is constructed using TSMC’s latest 4nm process. The Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A170 cores in the performance cluster are both clocked at 2.8GHz. The least difficult tasks are handled by the final 3 Cortex-A510 cores. You receive the brand-new Adreno 740 GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing for visuals. It is built on the Immortalis GPU from Arm.

Overall, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is 40% and 45% more power efficient, and its CPU and GPU performance are each 35% quicker. It is coupled with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDR5X RAM.

Xiaomi chose a 3400 sq. liquid-cooled vapor chamber to keep the Xiaomi 13 Pro cool even under demanding workloads. In a similar vein, the performance level of the phone can be automatically adjusted while in use depending on the work at hand.

Xiaomi Surge Chips

Two internal Surge co-processors will support the chip. The phone can reach 120W wired and 50W wireless rapid charging thanks in part to the Surge P1 chip. The chip was initially employed in the 12 Pro when it was revealed last year.

The other is a clever battery management chip called the Surge G2. The Xiaomi Surge Battery Management System, which we first saw on the 12S Ultra, is made up of the two components when combined. Long battery life and secure, effective charging are made possible on the new Xiaomi 13 Pro thanks to the dual-chip strategy. Aside from that, the new flagship’s battery has a capacity increase from 4,600mAh to 4,820mAh.

Camera

The Xiaomi 13 Pro’s triple 50MP camera array will sport the official Leica branding and new “Master” lenses, which were absent from the standard 12 Pro.

The Sony IMX989 camera, which features optical image stabilization and octa-PD phase focus, is at the top of the class. The 12-S Ultra’s original 1-inch sensor is still present. It is accompanied by a 115° ultrawide angle lens that may also be used for macro photography. The last lens is a telephoto lens with a focal length similar to 75mm.

Leica has even donated its expert color correcting services. Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant settings, which provide realistic and generally brighter photographs, respectively, are available to users of the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Xiaomi 13 Pro Price and Availability in India

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is already available for pre-order in China, and it will do so until the debut sale on December 14. Price ranges from CNY 4,999 for the entry-level 8/128GB model to CNY 6,299 for the top-of-the-line model. When it is released in India, we expect the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s starting pricing to be INR 78,499.
